A first look
From the atelier and the first campaign.
Tokyo, painted.
The streetwear line carries the same brush into the night city — koi and cranes across satin bombers, tees, and oversized cuts, in the lineage of the sukajan jackets that came home from Yokosuka. Made to order, like everything in the house.

The bag, treated as the painting.
One crane, one bag, one light. The gilded artwork wraps the silk the way maki-e wraps lacquer — glowing from inside the surface rather than sitting on top of it.

Rooms that keep the gold.
The same paintings that cross the silk cross the wall and the floor — framed crane and koi works in lacquer-dark frames, silk cushions and floor pillows in pond green and crimson, and gold-threaded throws. Made for rooms that live in lamplight.

Questions Worth Asking
How long does an order take to arrive?
Every piece is made to order. Production takes one to three days, and tracked delivery typically adds one to four more. Most orders arrive within a week of purchase.
Where are the products made?
Each piece is printed, cut, and sewn by hand at the atelier where every Magnificent Japan piece is made, then shipped directly to you with tracking. Nothing sits in a warehouse.
Are the designs original?
Yes. Every design in the shop is original artwork created for Magnificent Japan, drawing on the maki-e lacquerware tradition of gold on ink navy and ivory.
How do I find my size?
Each product page carries a full size chart beside the size selector, with garment measurements in inches. When you sit between sizes on a flowing piece, we suggest the larger one.
Can I return an item?
Because every piece is made individually to your order, returns are accepted for defects or errors on our side. Full details live on our returns page, linked in the footer.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes — worldwide, with tracking on every order. Duties are prepaid to most destinations, so the price at checkout is the price you pay.
